Should FoSSMR sponsor a Hall of Fame?

Should FoSSMR maintain a hall of fame for student athletes that exhibit something special. I think this may be a fantastic way to motivate the rowers and help keep alumni involved and encourage the program to grow in a positive direction.
We would need to define exactly what constitutes addition to the hall and protocol on how one becomes part of the hall of fame. Here is some food for thought: |
Requirements/Criteria?
- GPA Requirement?
- ERG Speed?
- Participation in events?
Protocol?
- Would the student athlete need to be nominated?
- Would the FoSSMR Board be required to vote unanimously?
Reward?
- Would there be a trophy?
- A perpetual plaque?
- A monetary grant?
- A perpetual profile on FoSSMR.org?
Please comment with your ideas, suggestions, this information will be helpful.
